The social networking platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook now allow you to connect really easily with your past customers and potential clients. These services are all free to use and a great way for you to increase your online visibility WITH people who are predisposed to listening to your message.
Your email signature is the the most overlooked free marketing that the small business owner can utilize. You should have all of your contact information there including your name, your email address, your phone number and any other traditional contact information that people can expect you to have.
Article marketing is also a way to build your online brand, reinforcing the fact that you are an expert in your market. There are many free article sites and they tend to rank highly in the search engines. When you write an article, make sure that you are focusing on the keywords that you are trying to rank well for online.
Make sure that you fill out all the contact information on any site you sign up with. Many people neglect to fill out contact forms completely, missing chances to add a link to their website or blog. Additionally. if you have the opportunity to be listed on an organization’s site, make sure they have a link pointed back to your website.
It does not matter which method of free marketing you choose to employ, be it free websites or blogs, social networking or article marketing. Everything you do online will increase the chances that someone will find your site or contact information and call for your products or services.
