Eyesight exercises can sharpen your eyesight easily
Posted on Mar 25, 2011 under Health and Fitness | No CommentOur eyes are usually compared to our muscles and spectacles are usually compared to “crutches”. Some vision|eyesighteyesight “gurus” claim that by wearing spectacles, you impair your eye muscles and deteriorate your eyesightvision|eyesight. Therefore, they concluded, you need to do eye exercises to “enhance” them.
However is that for real?
Think about it. What are the bad eyesight habits that cause your eyesight to deteriorate in the first place? Staring and squinting in the dark causes your eye muscles to strain and tighten… assuming that anything causes eyesight decay, it’s not “weak eye muscles”, it’s strain!
The term “eye exercises” are really misleading. They are really, more like “breathing exercises”. Eye exercises unwind your eye muscles, not enhance them! They do this by simulating right eyesight habits and when you do them everyday, you’ll subconsciously pick up the concepts beneath them.
When you once again grasped correct eyesight habits, your eyes will naturally see sharply again. Pair of glasses are bad not because it “weakens” your eye muscles… they are bad because they didn’t let your eye muscles to unwind!
Just like your other senses, vision is suppose to be effortless. You do not find yourself “trying” to listen, touch, smell or taste. Even assuming that you plan to do so, you could not. That is the stage you’re aiming for: effortless vision! And it could only be accomplished assuming that you get rid of your spectacles and do eye relaxation exercises. Needless to say, always make sure you use your spectacles whenever you undertake hazardous activities such as driving or crossing the road!
Having said that, you should also ponder how not making use of glasses will affect your vision habit. Will it make you stare even more? If so, you should ponder buying glasses with 2 to 3 degrees lower than your prescription for vision improvement. This will allow you to see acceptably clear but at the same time leaves room for growth.
