Tips and resources on living a healthy lifestyle

Along with the growing popularity of obtaining an online Bachelor degrees, many bogus schools have cropped up to cash in, taking advantage of potential students seeking a genuine education to maintain their current level of employment, or achieve specific career goals. Unfortunately, the sales pitch attracts many students who do not possess the time, or the finances, to gain a college education. The main selling points may include easy graduation, no tests or end of semester exams, credit for life experiences, and lower tuition fees. Some diploma mills even have the audacity to make money through bulk emails offering to sell university degrees.

Unfortunately, it can be difficult for aspiring students to differential between a real online Bachelor degree and the one that is not worth the paper on which it is printed. Most students are seeking an online education because they do not have the ability to attend classes on campus. In addition, many simply live too far away-even overseas. Therefore, the only criterion for determining a school\’s validity is the website. Important decisions are made on whether the site looks professional and seems to offer the right education; but, that is no way to judge whether a college is credible or not.

One of the best ways to determine credibility is to pay close attention to how the credentials are stated. For example, if an educational institution claims to have nationwide or worldwide accreditation, without revealing which government agency provided the accreditation, it\’s possible the college or university probably does not possess the necessary seal of approval to provide legitimate online Bachelor degrees.

In the U.S., college accreditation is awarded by one of the following six accreditation agencies which are all appointed by the National Board of Education – New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (NCA), Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (MSA), Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges (NWCCU). Each agency has been allocated responsibility for providing accreditation for schools in specific states. Therefore, it would be best to run checks on a particular online degree institution with the agency offering college accreditation for the state in which the college is registered in.

Another tell-tale sign of bogus online bachelor degrees offered is when the university advertises itself through mass-mailing email featuring university degrees for sale. Many bogus distance learning institutions prey on people who are desperate for a degree, but don\’t have the time and money to go for proper education. That is why these colleges boast of degrees without any examinations, classes, studying or even waiting. There are even websites that offer online bachelor degrees for just a few hundred dollars which can be ordered and received within 7 days. Furthermore, some of them also have dubious accrediting links, stating accreditation from agencies which are not any one of the six listed above. Additionally, they offer fixed prices for their Master\’s, Bachelor\’s, and even Doctorate Degrees. Their justification for awarding degrees will be for giving credit to life experiences such as any type of work experience, any educational background, any workshops or community services attended as well as travel experience, hobbies and even on the number of books that a person has read!

In short, with the plethora of bogus degrees already causing employers to question online education, make sure your online Bachelor degree is earned from a college or university accredited by one of the six agencies endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education.

Accreditation – this is perhaps the most important of the rules. Accreditation confirms that the college meets certain educational standards that are set by the accrediting education agencies. If you earn credits from an accredited online distance education college, chances are you can transfer them to another accredited institution of your choice. Your chances for acquiring a new job or getting a promotion are greatly enhanced if your degree is accredited.

Be aware of degree mills – there are many questionable accrediting agencies out on the internet that are outright fraud and are willing to give fake \”accreditation\” to any institution willing to pay a certain fee. Some of the degree mills are even owned by these same fake accrediting agencies. Make sure you do your homework and thoroughly investigate the accreditation that the college of your choice claims to have. While many online colleges are legitimately accredited, be aware that there are many that are not. Check out your prospective college to see if the accrediting body is approved by the United States Department of Education or CHEA.

The Microsoft MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) course is a great basis for anybody thinking of getting into supporting networks. So if you\’re just about to join the IT industry or already have experience but need to formalise your skills with a recognised qualification, it\’s possible to achieve your goals with the right training.

Each of these options will need a different type of course, so pay attention to check you\’re being offered the best one prior to making a start. Identify a training company that takes the time to understand what you\’re trying to achieve, and will work with you to sort out how it will all work, long before they start talking about courses.

What is the reason why traditional degrees are being replaced by more qualifications from the commercial sector?

With a growing demand for specific technological expertise, the IT sector has moved to specialist courses only available through the vendors themselves – in other words companies like Adobe, Microsoft, CISCO and CompTIA. This frequently provides reductions in both cost and time.

Of course, a necessary amount of background detail needs to be learned, but essential specialisation in the particular job function gives a commercially educated person a huge edge.

Put yourself in the employer\’s position – and you wanted someone who could provide a specific set of skills. What should you do: Wade your way through reams of different degrees and college qualifications from hopeful applicants, struggling to grasp what they\’ve learned and which commercial skills have been attained, or choose a specific set of accreditations that exactly fulfil your criteria, and draw up from that who you want to speak to. Your interviews are then about personal suitability – instead of long discussions on technical suitability.

Looking at the myriad of choice out there, there\’s no surprise that nearly all newcomers to the industry have no idea which career they could be successful with.

After all, if you have no background in the IT industry, how are you equipped to know what any qualified IT worker fills their day with? Let alone decide on which certification program will be most suitable for your success.

Usually, the way to come at this problem in the best manner comes from a thorough discussion of a number of areas:

* Personality factors and interests – what work-centred jobs you love or hate.

* What length of time can you allocate for your training?

* The income needs that are important to you?

* Considering all that computing encompasses, it\’s a requirement that you can understand the differences.

* Our advice is to think deeply about what kind of effort and commitment that you will set aside for gaining your certifications.

For most of us, dissecting each of these concepts will require meeting with a professional that can investigate each area with you. And not just the certifications – but also the commercial expectations and needs of the market as well.

If you forget everything else – then just remember this: You absolutely must have proper 24×7 professional support from mentors and instructors. You\’ll definitely experience problems if you don\’t.

Look for training where you can receive help at any time of day or night (even 1am on Sunday morning!) You\’ll need direct-access to qualified mentors and tutors, and not a message system as this will slow you down – consistently being held in a queue for a call-back at a convenient time for them.

Keep your eyes open for providers that utilise many support facilities around the globe in several time-zones. All of them should be combined to enable simple one-stop access together with round-the-clock access, when it\’s convenient for you, with no fuss.

Find a training company that cares. As only true live 24×7 round-the-clock support delivers what is required.

It\’s essential to have an accredited exam preparation programme included in your course.

Because a lot of IT examining boards are American, you\’ll need to be used to the correct phraseology. It\’s no use just answering any old technical questions – they must be in an exam format that exactly replicates the real thing.

Ensure that you analyse whether you\’re learning enough by doing tests and practice exams prior to taking the real thing.

For many people, a career within the electrical industry remains an interesting and varied choice. From here on we will use the phrase of Electrical Industry to explain the more accurate term of \”Electro-Mechanical Engineering\”. Equally we\’ll focus on those credentials that fit the UK domestic and commercial sector rather than those from around the world. Since there is such a wide list of choices in the electrical industry, we\’ll start by looking at the main themes first and then come back to any \’add-ons\’ later.

On consideration, we observe two forms of access into the electrical market. Whilst many candidates opt to join later on in their life, there still exists the more traditional route of the apprenticeship. To clarify, we\’ll label each of them as the \’Mature Entrants\’ and the \’Junior Entrants\’.

Mature Entrants who join the industry later on do so with the aim of working for themselves, usually as a one person business. Alternatively, \’Junior Entrants\’ will pick up lots of their work place skills by working with an already reputable electrical company. After they leave school a young apprentice will have many skills to learn during their first few years of working life.

The two different ways into the industry have two separate methods of preparation. In essence, the Junior Entrants follow an NVQ syllabus, or SVQ syllabus in Scotland. An NVQ qualification would need to be obtained as part of the training program. Often, this means that students have to gain an apprenticeship in order to be able to realise the course work and testing requirements of the job.

By opting to work on a freelance basis, many Mature Entrants appear to focus on those areas that provide profitable and practical solutions other than NVQ\’s. i.e. Those certifications that will get them up and running with the best financial return from their training investment. This system, although appearing to reduce the attributes laid out, does allow for a faster and more solid entry into the domestic market.

Between self-employment and general employment we have two routes to consider in terms of typical income. For the sake of this document we will assume that everyone involved in electrical employment is working full-time. It is recognised that competence and qualifications add to income levels as well as experience and information gained.

With the right level of experience, \’Junior Entrants\’ salaries can rise considerably from twelve to thirty thousand pounds per annum. \’Mature Entrants\’ salaries though are often more difficult to work out, but can rise to 70.000 and above as reported in UK newspapers. However, it should be borne in mind that a self-employed person must meet their own costs for tools, clothes and vehicles (including insurance and petrol.) Allocations for personal/professional insurance will also have to be catered for. That aside, whilst the work is open to market-forces to some degree, the current skills shortage in the UK means that there\’s a high work-load available. Therefore, working seven days a week (if a student wanted) is a possibility for most. Although by working very long hours and having assistants to help, the figures of 70-100 thousand advertised in newspapers might be achieved, it wouldn\’t be easy.

Firstly, it is worth pointing out that the working week between the Junior and Mature electricians can vary enormously. Monday to Friday 9-5 would be the working week of most \’Junior Entrants\’. That aside the Mature market is equally affected by when their clients are available – this is especially so within the domestic sector, where evening and weekend work predominates. Again, this varies considerably, and many self-employed electricians make the mainstay of their income from office and small business installation, testing and inspection, which is Mon-Fri 9-5pm.

To be fair it\’s often the boss of a company who states the type of specialist knowledge that Junior Entrants gain whilst in their employ. Whereas the mature entrant can gain knowledge from any trade source – even one outside of the core of electrical work. If they are working mostly in the domestic market, this makes it easier for them to take on larger jobs across a range of disciplines (without having to sub-contract.)

One new, fast growing area – one that invokes a wide array of skills sets and is new to the industry overall – is that of the \’Green Engineer\’. The opportunity to provide both employment and potential service contracts, especially in the UK and the EEC sectors, mean that this area is of interest to both Junior and Mature electricians.

You know there are many posted USA jobs for students. And after all, you wish to earn extra money for yourself or maybe your study. Or you may want to feel the work experience before later really engaging in the work. So the time is just right. There are many USA jobs posted on sites. They are quite popular because you have good opportunity for career development as well as higher income level now and/or later when you are graduated. The jobs are also wide in selection. You can be a pharmacy assistant, lawyer assistant, book keeper, accountant, or even work with one of the governmental agencies. But before looking further about the jobs, you need to consider some things.

First of all, ask yourself if you are an organized person with good study habits. It is not easy to allocate time wisely between study and work. And the fact may be harder when you already start the work. Taking part time jobs needs commitment and seriousness to both of the big responsibilities. You do not want to delay the graduation only for the extra temporary income.

After that, check how you spend your spare time so far and how you will do it differently with a part time job. You will have to let go some fun time with friends. Forget about the suppleness to go out anytime when you are asked, now you must consider the extra hours of works and plan your rest and study time better. So evaluate your habits so far and check if you will be able to manage the schedule efficient and effectively.

After making sure that you are ready for a part time job, you can start the search. Many jobs will have you go through the applying and interview process. Prepare your application letter. Write anything that describes your qualifications and strengths well, but keep it frank and short. You can find tips about writing a good CV on many sites. At interviews, make sure you answer questions frankly.

Students usually have to negotiate their schedules with the new employers. Remember to tell the schedule and work condition you can fulfill in advance, also in regards to holiday. If the job does not allow you to follow the schedule, or if the employer is not willing to tolerate, then you would better find other job rather than forcing beyond the limit. The USA jobs you find can be formal or semi-formal, and they usually pay good enough. First time part timers may get hard learning to adapt with the time and environment. The process will go smoother over time.

Never mind because you can start slowly from the beginning. Take fewer shifts and be willing to learn new things and explore yourself. Once you pick a job, commit yourself to allocate the best between both study and work. At the end you will feel great with the success and achievement. If you can do that good and focus on two big things at a time, you should be successful too in the real work place.
